Design & development
Our French brand designs and designs each of its models based on the women around it. These meetings and exchanges with you feed our creative studio to imagine the future life companion of your dreams!
Recognized for its leather goods expertise, our workshop has collaborated with several beautiful luxury houses. We work hand in hand to develop together the future models of our French brand and monitor the production of our creations. It is this unique relationship of trust between a brand and its workshop which is at the origin of BADINAGE.

Leather selection and cutting
Selecting the leather and cutting the panels of your future bag are a crucial step in the manufacturing of our handbags. Leather being a living material, imperfect by definition, our artisans select the most beautiful parts while enhancing the material by limiting its loss for the sake of durability.
All our leathers certified responsible by the Leather Working Group (LWG) are tanned using traditional methods. Tanning ensures that the skins are supple, have a soft and velvety feel as well as perfect coloring respecting the shades selected by our design studio.

Assembly & dyeing of slices
The cut pieces of leather are carefully assembled. Once positioned to perfection, they are hand-sewn for added strength. Next comes the phase of dyeing the edges of the bag. This finish specific to luxury leather goods ensures a perfect finish to your BADINAGE leather bag but also greater longevity, it requires time and patience.
The bag is ready to put on its cotton canvas lining and, for several of our models, suede inserts designed to gently accommodate your gestures. The covering sewn into the leather is in turn embellished by colored leather inserts, like our small card holder pocket.

Braiding, ornaments & jewelry pieces
Once the bag is assembled, it is time to “accessorize” it with its adornments. Because your bag deserves the best, and not a capricious zip that will hinder its use, we have opted for the highest standards in this area: YKK Excella zippers and zippers. Next come our stainless gold metal rings (guaranteed nickel-free), essential protective pins and snap buttons.
The jewelry details, a BADINAGE signature, are meticulously combined with the leather by our artisans. Careful gestures carried out by hand by a qualified craftswoman, such as braiding and knotting, allow leather goods to reconnect with a more artisanal dimension. All our bags are woven by hand. These careful finishes adorn the handles of our tote bag like the jeweled handle of our Sirinda handbag whose leather braid and knot, also made by hand, have become an iconic identity element of our brand.

Quality control & packaging
Once manufacturing is finalized, our workshop manager checks that the bag corresponds in all respects to the requirements of our brand. This rigorous quality control makes it possible to track down the slightest irregularity before preparing your bag for delivery. Once your bag is packed in its protective pouch, it is time for our team to say goodbye. Your BADINAGE bag is finally ready to meet you!
